August 2026

Hi there,

Happy Friday! Here's what's new in the neighborhood.

Congratulations to Keyi (Tony), Shuting #21, and their son, on the birth of their daughter and sister!

Have you checked out the Rain Garden at the middle cul-de-sac? It's been spruced up, and native plantings have been added.

Happening this weekend is the Philadelphia Cycling Classic,  back after a hiatus. Details. Be prepared for road closures.

Registrations for Mount Airy Learning Tree and Morris Arboretum classes are open.

Interesting details about the Wissahickon:

The second season of the HBO series “Task” filmed scenes in Wissahickon Valley Park from August 3 - 7 off of various sections of Forbidden Drive.

If you're looking for some hikes, there's a new 14-part Discover the Wissahickon hike series starting on 8/29. Details & registration.

Have a wonderful weekend and upcoming Labor Day weekend, and all the best for back-to-school!

Regards,
