| View in browser November 2024   Hi there, With Thanksgiving coming up, we're expecting the weather to get colder. Here, then, is your reminder to winterize your outdoor spigots by shutting off water to them.    Did you enjoy the 3rd Annual Roxborough Reserve Chili Cookoff?   Thank you to the organizers of the Chili cookoff: Dana #22, Rachel #23, Ashley #24, Bridget #25, and Joanna #26.    Shout out to our neighbors who prepared delicious appetizers, biscuits, and cornbread, competed in the chili/stew/soup competition, and baked yummy desserts!   And special thanks to those who got into the Halloween spirit and came in costume. Here are the winners of the Chili Cook-off Awards...   Donovan SkyFox Chung - for the Most Unique Chili (Entry #2) Ted Whittemore - for Best Showmanship (Entry #10) Jacob Basch - for Can't Stop, Won't Stop (Entry #1) Dana Marie Brown - for the Nickelodeon Award (Entry #4)   Celebrate the Holidays with the Philadelphia Ballet and the George Balanchine version of the Nutcracker at the Academy of Music Roxborough Reserve is fortunate to have a budding ballerina in our community, one with several years of Nutcracker experience: Kaitlyn's and John's (#6) daughter Avery.    This year she is Party Girl and Polichinelle and will perform in at least 25 of the 31 shows. If you have questions about specific performance dates, don't hesitate to reach out to Kaitlyn.   To reserve tickets, click on George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker®. (Avery is also headed to the Kennedy Center in DC to perform in several Thanksgiving shows! Go, Avery!)
